Core Value of Research and my Student Affairs Theory

 

 

I like to be involved in what I believe in, and have a positive impact on what I believe in. I believe in taking time to implement programs that would last and have an affect on the people who are connected to it. When I share my personal beliefs and core values, I believe that it helps people understand who I am, and maybe they can take along what they learned from me and continue to share the knowledge that I once learned from someone else. I believe research is the way to understand the criteria of the subject and impose your theories of how you visualize what it means and what it means to others. Without research I believe that the individual is truly not passionate in what they are in search for and of their burning question that will result in why it is so important to them. I am currently working on Baxter Magolda's theory of Self-Authorship into my research and work. I believe in order to engage students you have to understand who they are and what is special about each individual. In addition, to encourage and coach them on how to navigate their collegiate experience.
